What Is Photo Watermarking?

Any photo in your GrowVPD Pro diary can be stamped with the data of the diary entry it belongs to: the date and time of the entry, the stage and the week of the grow. You add the stamp in the photo editor, in the corner of your choice, on a translucent panel that does not distract from the plant.

Use cases:

  • Discord/forum sharing — one image carries its date, stage and week, no caption needed.
  • Cycle comparison — flip through a year of photos and instantly see the stage and week on each.
  • Grow journals — PDF exports become polished cycle reports.

Watermarking is a Pro feature of the photo editor in the Android app.

Enabling Watermark

  1. Open a diary photo full-screen and tap Edit.
  2. Go to the Effects tab and turn on Watermark.
  3. Tap the arrow button next to it to move the stamp between the four corners: top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right.
  4. Tap Save.

Each photo is stamped on its own, when you save it in the editor — nothing is stamped automatically, so photos you have not edited stay as they are.

Fields are auto-populated from:

  • Date and time — when the diary entry was made.
  • Stage — the stage of the diary entry the photo belongs to.
  • Week — the week of the grow recorded in that entry.

Sharing

Open the photo and tap Share. The shared file already has the watermark baked in (it’s saved to disk that way). PDF diary exports also include the stamped photos.

Keep a clean copy first. Saving the edit replaces the photo in your diary with the stamped version; the unstamped original is not kept. If you want both, share the photo before you edit it.
