Full Localization, Not Partial Translation
Many apps claim to support multiple languages but only translate the main menus, leaving help text, guides, error messages, and technical terms in English. GrowVPD Pro takes a different approach: everything is translated. Every button, every label, every guide, every tooltip, every plant disease description, every nutrient calculator label — all 1,390+ text strings are fully translated into all 11 supported languages.

How to Change Your Language
Open Settings
Tap the Settings tab (gear icon) at the bottom of the screen.
Find the Language Option
Scroll down to the General section. Tap Language. A language picker appears showing all 11 available languages.
Select Your Language
Tap your preferred language. The entire app interface updates immediately — no restart needed. All tabs, menus, guides, calculators, and descriptions switch to the selected language.
Tip: The language setting is independent of your phone's system language. You can use your phone in English but run GrowVPD Pro in German, or any other combination.
What Gets Translated
When you switch languages, the following all update:
- All UI elements: Tab names, buttons, labels, menus, dialogs
- VPD chart: Axis labels, stage names, tooltips
- PPFD guide: Light recommendations, DLI calculations, stage-specific advice
- Grow diary: Stage names (Seedling, Vegetative, Flowering, Harvest), field labels, placeholders
- Disease & Pest Guide: All disease names, descriptions, symptoms, and treatment recommendations
- Plant Guide: Growing techniques, training methods, substrate descriptions
- Nutrient calculator: Element names, unit labels, mixing instructions
- Equipment tab: Equipment categories, profile fields, ventilation calculator
- Automation tab: Room/tent management, device types, rule conditions, action descriptions
- Settings: All option labels and descriptions
- Notifications: Reminder text, automation alerts, daily summaries
- Grow templates: Template descriptions, stage presets, nutrient schedules
- Error messages and help text
Right-to-Left (RTL) Support for Hebrew
Hebrew is a right-to-left language, which requires the entire UI layout to mirror. GrowVPD Pro fully supports RTL layout when Hebrew is selected:
- Text aligns to the right
- Navigation elements mirror (back button moves to the right side)
- Lists and cards flip their layout direction
- Charts and data visualizations adapt to RTL reading order
This is not a simple text swap — the entire UI framework adjusts to provide a natural reading experience for Hebrew speakers.
Thai Language Support
Thai uses a complex script with tone marks, vowel positioning above and below consonants, and no spaces between words. GrowVPD Pro handles all of this correctly, including proper text wrapping and display of combined characters.
Language and Data
Changing your language does not affect your existing data. Your grow diary entries, sensor readings, automation rules, and all recorded data remain exactly as they are. Only the interface labels change. If you entered diary notes in English and switch to German, your notes stay in English — only the field labels around them change to German.
Translation Quality
All translations are maintained by the development team with input from native speakers in the growing community. Technical growing terminology (VPD, PPFD, DLI, EC, pH) is kept in its internationally recognized form across all languages, since these are universal scientific terms that growers in every language use.
