Built in the open.
By a grower. For growers.
GrowVPD Pro isn’t a polished product from a 50-person team. It’s a one-developer studio, an active grow room, and a stack of hardware on the desk — that’s the whole company.
Every feature in this app started as something missing from my own grow. The VPD chart was the first thing — I got tired of typing temperature and humidity into a calculator three times a day, so I built a heatmap. Then I wanted a diary that didn’t sell my photos to a server I’d never heard of. Then I wanted my Mars Hydro light, my AC Infinity controller and my Tuya plugs to actually talk to each other, instead of each pretending they were the only device in the world. So I built that too. The whole app is just a list of problems I had at 2am, solved one by one.
I read every Discord message myself. I write the code, I run the tests, I shoot the screenshots, I translate to eleven languages because growers who don’t speak English deserve a real app and not a Google-translate hack. There’s no marketing team, no sales pipeline, no growth hacker. When something breaks you tell me directly, and most of the time the fix lands the same week. When something’s missing you suggest it on Discord, and it might land in the next release. That’s the entire feedback loop.
We’re early, and we’re honest about it. Some integrations are rock-solid — Tuya and Mars Hydro have been running on real grows for months. Others sit in beta because I haven’t been able to source every controller and sensor yet, and I refuse to ship integrations I can’t test against the actual hardware. If you’re a grower with gear we haven’t touched, or a brand who wants to ship better software, the door is open. Pull up a chair on Discord and let’s build this thing together.
