GrowVPD Pro isn’t a polished product from a 50-person corporate team. It’s a small crew of enthusiast growers and programmers, active grow rooms, and stacks of hardware on our desks — that’s the whole company.
Every feature in this app started as something missing from our own grows. The VPD chart was the first thing — we got tired of typing temperature and humidity into a calculator three times a day, so we built a heatmap. Then we wanted a diary that didn’t sell our photos to a server we’d never heard of. Then we wanted our Mars Hydro lights, our AC Infinity controllers and our Tuya plugs to actually talk to each other, instead of each pretending it was the only device in the world. So we built that too. The whole app is just a list of problems we had at 2am, solved one by one.
Our lab is an actual grow room, not a bench rig with a multimeter. We test on the same plants you’d care about.
We read every Discord message ourselves. We write the code, we run the tests, we shoot the screenshots, we translate to eleven languages because growers who don’t speak English deserve a real app and not a Google-translate hack. There’s no marketing team, no sales pipeline, no growth hacker. When something breaks you tell us directly, and most of the time the fix lands the same week. When something’s missing you suggest it on Discord, and it might land in the next release. That’s the entire feedback loop.
We’re a small, passionate indie team at the very beginning of this journey. Every integration gets tuned on real hardware in a real grow room, every translation is hand-checked, every Discord message gets a reply. We’re actively sourcing more gear and reaching out to brands — but until then we ship slow, careful releases, and every early user genuinely shapes what comes next.
We’re early, and we’re honest about it. Some integrations are rock-solid — Tuya and Mars Hydro have been running on real grows for months. Others sit in beta because we haven’t been able to source every controller and sensor yet, and we refuse to ship integrations we can’t test against the actual hardware.
